Husqvarna Concept Baja Motorcycle
Cycle News Staff | January 20, 2012
Check out this cool ’70s-style Baja retro machine from Husqvarna that was revealed at the New York motorcycle show this week. It’s a dual-purpose bike powered by a 650cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected four-stroke motor with a five-speed transmission, and it’s nestled in a perimeter steel frame.
It has Brembo disc brakes, single-shock linkage rear suspension, 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, and an LED crossbar instrument display.
Husqvarna calls it Concept Baja and it is just that – a concept bike.
The only thing this bike is missing is Malcolm Smith at the controls.
Modern-looking headlight assembly.
Even the pipe and rear fender have that old-school Husky look.
LED crossbar instruments.
Unfortunately, it’s not a two-stroke.
Fuel cap isn’t old-school.
Modern shape, old-school paint.
The massive front brake should have any problems slowing this bike down.
Low seat should be appealing to many riders.
