MotoGP To Start A Week Earlier

The first round of the 2012 MotoGP World Championship has been moved up a week, with the season opener now set for April 8 in Qatar instead of the original date of April 15, according to a new schedule released today by the FIM.The only other change to the calendar is that Sachsenring will again be the site of the German Grand Prix on July 8, pending the contract getting signed. The last calendar, released in September, listed the German Grand Prix with a To Be Confirmed racetrack.The 2012 MotoGP calendar is as follows:April 8 – Doha/Losail, Qatar

April 29 – Jerez, Spain

May 6 – Estoril, Portugal

May 20 – Le Mans, France

June 3 – Catalunya, Spain

June 17 – Silverstone, England

June 30 – Assen, Holland

July 8 – Sachsenring, Germany

July 15 – Mugello, Italy

July 29 – Laguna Seca, United States

August 19 – Indianapolis, United States

August 26 – Brno, Czech Republic

September 16 – Misano, Italy

September 30 – Motorland, Spain

October 14 – Motegi, Japan

October 21 – Sepang, Malaysia

October 28 – Phillip Island, Australia

November 11 – Valencia, Spain
