Short To Ride McGrath/Brooks Honda

It has been confirmed that Andrew Short will ride for the new Larry Brooks/Jeremy McGrath team in the 2012 Supercross and Motocross season. Even though he said he enjoyed his one-year stint at KTM and said, “I love all those guys at KTM,” he is thrilled to have been signed by the upstart Brooks/McGrath team, which will be using Honda equipment with support from the factory.”I’m excited to be reunited with Honda again,” Short told Cycle News. “I think it’s a good move for me since I’ve been with the Honda program for so long.”Short rode for the factory Honda team for many years before going to KTM in 2011.Andrew Short says he’s signed with the new Larry Brooks/Jeremy McGrath team.”I’m also excited to be a part of Jeremy McGrath and Larry Brooks,” Short said. “They both have had a lot of success in the past and I look forward working with them.”Short sat out the final few rounds of the outdoor Motocross Championship after injuring both his elbows and his wrist but says he’s well down the road to recovery.”My body is coming together well and I should start riding again on the Honda November 1,” Short said. “I’m close to being able to ride again, but I’m not going to push it and get ready for the new year.”Short added that he’s expecting to have a teammate but does not know who that person will be yet, or even the official name of the team.”Nothing is official yet on the name, we’re still in the early stages.”
