Muscle Milk Named Team Honda MX Title Sponsor

Press Release | October 13, 2011

When the Honda factory motocross team rolls into Las Vegas for the Monster Energy Cup this weekend, it will do so showing off its new title sponsor, Muscle Milk.

Honda officially announced today that Muscle Milk, the protein-enhanced beverage made by CytoSport, and the red team have signed a multi-year agreement to be the title sponsor of the new Team Honda Muscle Milk squad, made up of Trey Canard and recently signed Justin Brayton.

“We are really excited to partner with Muscle Milk,” said Honda Racing Coordinator Ray Conway. “It’s great to have Muscle Milk as a partner, a company that truly understands the physical and nutritional needs of our athletes. We are advocates of their various nutritional and recovery products as the majority of the team has been using them for some time now. It’s great to be associated with and be able to endorse products that we know are nutritional and align with our rider’s performance goals.”

“It is awesome to partner with a brand like Honda which strives to make the best products possible like we do at CytoSport,” commented CytoSport CEO Mike Pickett. “We are excited to welcome Team Honda to our elite team of athletes and partners that include Superbowl Champ Clay Matthews, 4x Ironman World Champion Chrissie Wellington, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs and over 30 NCAA athletic departments.”

As mentioned, Team Honda Muscle Milk will make its debut at this weekend’s Monster Energy Cup at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas but with just half the team. Brayton will be the team’s lone representative at the race, while Canard continues to heal from the broken femur he suffered at the Washougal National in July.

Brayton will ride the 2012 Team Honda Muscle Milk CRF450R.
