Jake Lewis to Vesrah Suzuki for 2012

2011 AMA Road Race Horizon Award winner Jake Lewis will race in the 2012 AMA Pro Racing SuperSport class for Vesrah Suzuki, though he won’t decide whether he’ll race in the East or West region pending the release of the 2012 AMA Pro Road Racing schedule. The preliminary 2011 schedule was released on Dec. 8, 2010.

Lewis, who turns 16 on Nov. 4, has had a successful few seasons club racing. This year the Kentucky resident won three classes in the WERA National Challenge Series; 750 Superbike Expert, 750 Superstock Expert, and 600 Superbike Expert, along with 22 race wins aboard the KWS Motorsports/Earl’s Racing Yamaha R6.Walker Jemison will be the crew chief on the Vesrah Suzuki team, which will also field Cory West for the fourth year.”I’m really looking forward to the 2012 AMA season,” Lewis said in a team press release. “I’m excited about this opportunity with Vesrah because I think they will be one of the best AMA teams in the paddock next year.
