Troy Lee Designs confirmed that it has re-signed Christian Craig to the Troy Lee Designs/Lucas Oil/Honda Race Team for 2012.Craig made his return to racing this year after suffering a back injury just prior to the 2010 Supercross series. Craig showed that he has the speed to be competitive up front but suffered a few injuries in the 2011 season that kept him off the track at times. One of those injuries was to his wrist, which ended his assault on the outdoor motocross championship prematurely. He’ll compete in the Lites class in Supercross and in the 450cc class in the AMA Pro Motocross Championship.”I’m really excited for this year,” says Craig. “Last season I learned a lot about what to expect and the things that I need to improve on. I know I have good bikes underneath me and I know I can run the pace of the leaders so I expect to be at the front. I’m focused and ready to make 2012 my year.”Team manager, Tyler Keefe, is also excited about Craig’s chances next year.”It was an easy decision for us to keep Christian,” Tyler explains. “He has the speed, he works hard and he wants it. Those are key components of a rider with potential to make it. Plus, he is a good kid and he fits in really well with our program. We enjoy having him around and I think he likes it here as well. We’ve got some good things coming together for 2012 and with Christian riding the 250 indoors and the 450 outdoors again I think we are going to have a great year.”Craig will, once again, be joined by Cole Seely and Travis Baker.
