39th WERA Grand National Finals
Starting on October 27th and going through the 30th WERA Motorcycle Roadracing will invade Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA with the 39th WERA Grand National Finals. Champions will be crowned in the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series, the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series, the WERA Vintage Series and also the WERA National Endurance Series.
This year any rider who competed in any of the classes/Endurance running at the GNF will be able to enter and participate in that class at the GNF. Invitations went to all riders who participated in 2011 and Endurance Teams are invited to enter the Endurance Final Round via Fax for pre-entry or do a post-entry at the track that weekend.
Saturday and Sunday fans will have lots to see with demonstrations on the skid pad put on by the CAMMRA and visit the Performance Displays on the hill above turn 10. Sunday during quiet time Josh Borne will bring his Freestyle Stunt Show to the Turn 7 area for everyone’s entertainment. Also on Sunday there will be a ride around Road Atlanta for anyone who comes out with a motorcycle – a donation of $5.00 for the laps (2-3 depending on time) will be donated to The Red Flag Fund which is a Fund that helps injured riders.
Saturday night there will be Trick or Treats for the children in the paddock followed by a party for the adults in the chalet in the Scoring/Timing side of the paddock.
Camping is available and tickets will be available at the gate! All events are run by WERA Motorcycle Roadracing and they go coast to coast offering entry level racing with the Pirelli/WERA Sportsman Series as well as a Pro-Am Series with the Michelin/WERA National Challenge Series which includes the only traveling Endurance Series in the US using the World Endurance platform for most of the rules.
