The following is from Joey Pascarella’s publicist…Globetrotting Joey Pascarella has accepted a wild card opportunity in the upcoming Superstock 600 European Championship round scheduled for September 24th in Imola, Italy. San Francisco based consulting firm, Jon Block Group and Italian race team, Ciatti Racing will provide principal sponsorship support.
After achieving several noteworthy race results during the CIV Italian Championship this season, Joey hopes to continue with his progressive trend during this weekend’s European Championship, held in conjunction with World Superbike. “I’m very fortunate to have this opportunity to showcase my capabilities on a world-class stage in front of all my sponsors and fans. We will be riding the new Pirelli-shod Honda CBR600RR. Following several tests throughout the past couple of weeks, we believe we have a respectable set up that will have us challenging the top 10. Flying back and forth from Italy this year has been well worth the 6,500-mile commute! I’m really enjoying Italy and the tremendous passion that exists in the racing community over here. It’s contagious. My sponsors have been enormously supportive of my European program including the Jon Block Group, Ciatti Racing / ele2 Promotion, CT Racing / Pirelli, Cortech, FMF, Shoei, Ken Hill Coaching, Mach 1 Motorsports, Yamaha School of Champions, Zero Gravity, GPR, CRG, Galfer, FBW, Spider Grips, BG Racing, Full Specturm Batteries. I can’t thank all of these guys enough for the support!”
Joey hopes to take full advantage of this distinctive opportunity by delivering an exceptional performance that will capture the attention from World Supersport manufacturers and teams, as well as the thousands of fans.
Luca Ciatti, Ciatti Racing:
“We are very pleased to say that Joey Pascarella will be riding a Honda CBR600RR as a wildcard at the Imola round of World Superbike on the 24th of September. Joey has been a revelation to us this season riding the R6 in the Italian CIV championship and we believe he can be just as quick on the Honda, which I hope joey will be riding for us in 2012.”
Kurt Burgess, Jon Block Group:
“Our firm has been reviewing various collaborative opportunities with Joey overseas. This wild-card opening complements our 2011 global sports marketing initiative, providing us with a precursor to what we might expect in 2012. We very much look forward to next weekend.”
