Blake Wharton to Rockstar Energy Suzuki.

Word has it that Bake Wharton has signed on with the Rockstar Energy Suzuki team for the 2012 Supercross and Motocross season.

Wharton spent the 2011 season as a member of the GEICO Honda team, which he joined in 2009, and finished the East Lites Supercross Championship in fifth place, his best finishes were a pair of thirds at the Toronto and Dallas Supercrosses. The Texan suffered shoulder problems and was forced to take care of that with surgeries at the end of the ’11 Supercross Championship and was unable to compete in the just-concluded AMA outdoor championship.

Wharton will again compete in the Lites (and 250) classes but it is not yet known which coast (east or west) he’ll compete in during the Supercross championship.

Wharton is expected to start riding again in October.
