Argentina To Host MotoGP In 2013

The MotoGP World Championship will return to Argentina in 2013 if track renovation requirements are met as Dorna signed an agreement today in Paris with the Argentinean government, the governor of the Santiago del Estero province and OSD. The deal is for three years.

The Grand Prix of Argentina will be held at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo in the coastal region of Santiago del Estero.The last time a MotoGP round was held in South America was in 2004 and that was in Brazil. Japan’s Makota Tamada rode a Camel-backed Honda to victory in what was the Rio Grande GP.
