Mees Getting Busy At Sturgis

Rogers Lake Racing/Blue Springs Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle rider, and 2009 Grand National Twins Champion Jammin Jared Mees is doing some heavy P.R. work for Harley Davidson this week at the annual Sturgis Bike Week. Jared will be appearing on Thursday from 10am til 2pm at the Harley Davidson demo ride tent located on Main St in Sturgis.

In addition to signing autographs for the many people attending, Jared will also be racing against fans on 1 of 2 specially prepared XR1200 Harley-Davidson’s set up as a Drag Racing Simulator. The two XR1200s will be strapped to a dyno and a “Christmas Tree” starting procedure will be used. Jared and his competitor will have to use there reaction time to get a clean start and accelerate to a set finish line! Sounds to be some good fun in Sturgis this week!

Also in attendance at the Harley-Davidson Demo Tent was Harley-Davidson/Screamin’ Eagle Factory Rider Kenny Coolbeth who was scheduled for Tuesdays appearance, and the popular Global Products/Black Hills Harley-Davidson/National Cycle/KK Motorcycle Supply-sponsored Nichole Cheza who is scheduled from 10-2 on Wednesday. All three racers are doing there part to promote the AMA Pro Racing/ Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Flattrack Series. The next race is scheduled for Peoria IL on Aug-21.
