It was 20 years ago, almost to the day, that Trampas Parker became the first American to win two World Motocross titles after claiming the 250 title in 1991, which added a bookend to his 125 title in 1989. Only one other American has ever been able to win more than one World MX Championship and that was Donny Schmit, who claimed the 125 title in ’90 and the 250 in ’92.
