Ponca City MX Kicks Off

PONCA CITY, OKLA., JULY 26, 2011 –

 Racing got underway today at the NMA Ponca City Grand National Amateur Motocross Championships in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and it was a big day for Cooper Webb and Justin Bogle, who grabbed two wins each.Both Bogle and Webb came into Ponca City as favorites to win their respective classes and both riders produced, with Bogle topping the 250 STK Pro and 450 STK Pro races, while Webb won his races in the 85/150 STK 14-16 and 150 4-Stroke Thru 16 classes.

Bogle, who will be making his Pro debut at Unadilla for GEICO/Factory Connection Honda, was particularly impressive en route to the win in the 450 race, beating Team Green’s Jacob Hayes by a considerable distance.As is usually the case for Oklahoma in late July, it was hot and humid with temperatures reaching 106 degrees by mid-day, and still around the century mark at 7 PM.

Other winners included Justin Summers in the 250 STK Intermediate Div. 2 race, Cobra rider Jett Reynolds in the 50 Pee Wee STK Thru 6, and Honda rider Cole Thompson in the 250/450 College 18-25 Non-Pro class.Racing resumes tomorrow morning at 8 AM.
