The following is from Infineon Raceway…Infineon Raceway will host the West Coast’s most comprehensive motorcycle weekend, May 11-15, as the West Coast Moto Jam returns to the Sonoma Valley.

The West Coast Moto Jam is an action-packed weekend featuring more than 20 events over five different forms of two-wheel racing. The weekend will be headlined by the best motorcycle road racers in the country from AMA Pro Road Racing, with double-header main events in three premier classes. The road course will also feature electric motorcycle racing, as the TTXGP North American Championship returns for a second consecutive year.

But the action won’t be limited to the world-famous road course. The weekend will also feature Supermoto USA, Flat Track and AHRMA National Motocross. It’s simply the most comprehensive motorcycle weekend on the West Coast.

AMA Pro Road Racing

AMA Pro Road Racing will headline action on the 12-turn road course with main events in the American SuperBike, Daytona SportBike and SuperSport classes on both Saturday and Sunday. New for 2011, the Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series will also run a main event over the weekend.

TTXGP North American Championships

Zero-carbon motorcycle racing comes to Sonoma for a second straight year. There will be two feature races, one for the newly created Formula 75 class, as well as the premier Formula GP. The series featured 12 races in six countries in 2010, including the World Final in Spain. All motorcycles are powered by zero carbon electric drive trains.

AHRMA National Motocross

New for 2011 will be the AHRMA Legends of Motocross Nationals in the hills behind Turn 7. Legendary motocross racer and Bay Area resident Brad Lackey will host the event, which will feature two rounds of racing on Saturday and Sunday, plus a vintage swap meet and vintage bike show.

Flat Track

Eddie Mulder’s West Coast Dirt Track Series returns for a second straight year with racing in 15 different classes, highlighted by the Pro Digger Helm division. There’s also a Youth division open for young riders on bikes that are 50cc, 60cc and 80cc. More than 300 competitors are expected to compete on the short-track behind the Turn 9 Terraces.

Supermoto USA

Supermoto USA returns for a sixth straight year to the Infineon Raceway Karting Center. Race fans will be treated to action-packed racing on the three-quarter mile, 16-turn track, which is a combination of asphalt and dirt. It’s one of the most challenging tracks on the Supermoto USA circuit.
