The 2012 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series will be back for 17 rounds in 2012, including a return to the Superdome in New Orleans.The season will again get started at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on January 7 and will conclude on May 5 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.The series last visited New Orleans in 2009 when Team San Manuel Yamaha’s James Stewart won the main event en route to his second Supercross class championship.
“The 2012 Monster Energy Supercross schedule is the map to the coveted championship trophy,” said Todd Jendro, senior director of two-wheel operations, Feld Motor Sports. “While 2011 is the greatest season ever, it is a primer for 2012. The returning veterans and the youthful challengers are the perfect blend for a parity-driven championship.”
