Two-time AMA East Supercross Lites Champion Christophe Pourcel has come  to terms with a new team for the upcoming AMA Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.Pourcel, who hasn’t raced since injuring his shoulder at the last outdoor National of the year last year at Pala (September), signed with MotoConcepts Racing and will ride a Yamaha YZ450F. Pourcel has spent most of his professional career on Kawasakis.Pourcel said that the extended time off has greatly benefitted him as it has allowed him to come into the motocross season in top condition and feeling well prepared.

“The end of the season last year was disappointing,” said Pourcel, “but I’m very excited to make a brand new start in the motocross season with a new team, a new motorcycle and some good people behind me. It’s going to be interesting to see what we can accomplish together.”

MotoConcepts Racing Team Owner Mike Genova, said, “We at MotoConcepts are excited to bring a rider of Christophe’s caliber to our program. We are confident with his talent and his history of winning coupled with our experienced staff. MotoConcepts will be a very competitive force in the 450 Motocross class this summer.”
