Brown’s Back At Cahuilla Creek WORCS

FMF/KTM’s Mike Brown didn’t go back to his home in Tennessee after the last WORCS round. Instead he stayed on the west coast to train in the heat and do extensive testing at KTM headquarters to get his set-up perfect for Anza. Before the race even started Mike stated, “I decided it’s time to start winning some races.”
Brown isn’t a bragger; he’s a racer with years of experience who knows his business as well as any rider alive. So when he said it was time to win, it was a sure bet, he went out and won WORCS round four.
“I love this track,” said Brown of the Cahuilla MX Park facility. “I love any track where I win, I think everybody does. It was a fun race, everybody rode clean and hard and I’m happy to put my KTM on the top of the podium.”
Taking second was Brown’s FMF/KTM teammate Kurt Caselli. Caselli was at times the fastest rider on the track, but suffered from mediocre starts in both races and had to battle forward through the all-star field to take second.
Third place fell to Ricky Dietrich, who has been preparing for the MX Nationals. Dietrich lives close to Anza and trains there often, so he couldn’t resist coming out and testing himself against the top WORCS riders.
Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Justin Soule put in a great ride scoring a 3-4 for fourth overall with his teammate Taylor Robert taking fifth. WORCS point’s leader Bobby Garrison had an off weekend finishing sixth (the first time he’s been off the podium this season) with Robby Bell seventh. JCR Honda’s Colton Udall had his best finish so far this season with eighth just ahead of Gary Sutherlin in ninth and RPM/KTM’s Ryan Abbatoye in 10th.
The WORCS Championship is heating up with six round still to go. Garrison and Caselli are tied for the lead with 177; Robert is just two points back with 175. Brown is starting to make up ground with 146, 10 ahead of Soule with 128.
