Du Quoin Date Moved

AMA Pro Racing has announced that the Du Quoin, Illinois, round of the AMA Grand National Championship has been pushed back a week – moving from April 9 to April 16.

According to AMA Pro Racing, the decision was made after working closely with the promoter and riders and teams.

After considering the potential conflicts with previous dates, it looked as though the event might be forced off of the 2011 AMA Pro Flat Track schedule, but now that’s not the case as the parties involved concluded that losing the race was more harmful than the original concern of having the race so close to the following round – which will be held in Salinas, California.

The series returns to Du Quoin after a seven-year hiatus.
