Vance & Hines XR1200 Series Expands: Updated

Although last week’s press release seemed to muddy the situation more than clear it up, the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing Championship Series will feature the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series at all of its rounds with the exception of the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca round in July.The XR1200 series made its debut at Road America last year.Vance & Hines and Harley-Davidson will be paying purse money at all the rounds, including the Miller Motorsports round where the series will share the venue with the World Superbike Championship.There is also a TBA event slated to be the final round with many believing that will be held at the new racetrack currently under construction on the outskirts of New Orleans.The series schedule for the Vance & Hines XR1200 Series is as follows:March 10-12 – Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Beach, FloridaMay 13-15 – Infineon Raceway, Sonoma, CaliforniaMay 28-30 – Miller Motorsports Park, Toohle, UtahJune 3-5 – Road America, Elkhart Lake, WisconsinTBDJuly 8-10 – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Lexington, OhioAugust 12-14 – Virginia International Raceway (TBD), Axton, VirginiaSeptember 2-4 – New Jersey Motorsports Park, Millville, New JerseyTBA
