Windham Wins Genoa SX

Kevin Windham went 1-1 to take the win at this weekend’s Genoa Supercross in Genoa, Italy, the final round of the European SX Championship. Along with the Bercy Supercross, the Genoa race is one of the major Supercross races in Europe and it attracts top Euros and Americans looking to make an easy payday. Jeremy McGrath and Justin Barcia joined Windham for this year’s race, however, both ended up crashing out while Windham blitzed to victory.The race also marked Antonio Cairoli’s Supercross debut and the KTM factory rider and current MX1 World Champ came away with fifth overall after going 4-7 in the two motos.Behind Windham, French Yamaha rider Gautier Paulin finished second overall with a 2-2 score, while Honda-mounted Alexandre Rouis, also from France, was third at 3-4.
