Marquez Set For Moto2 Test

Spanish road racing phenom Marc Marquez will make his Moto2 test debut tomorrow at the Jerez Circuit in Spain after the 125cc World Champion signed a two-year contract with Repsol and Monlau Competition to compete in the 2011 and 2012 Moto2 World Championships.The 17-year-old Marquez will be the lone rider n the Monlau team and will use a Suter chassis in the Honda 600cc spec-engine class. The team will be managed by 1999 125cc World Champion Emilio Alzamora.Marquez was a revelation this year, winning 10 GPs, including a stretch of five in a row. He also earned 12 pole positions en route to becoming Spain’s youngest ever World Champion at just 17 years, 264 days.Marquez has had Repsol backing since he first came to Grand Prix racing in 2008.
