The following is from Trey Canard’s publicist:

Honda Racing rider Trey Canard will not be attending the Genoa Supercross and Supercross of Bercy international Supercross races in November.

Citing the need to recuperate after a long 2010 race season and prepare for the upcoming 2011 Supercross season, Canard said, “It’s been a long, exciting year and I really need to use this time to rest and focus on preparing for the upcoming season with my new team and sponsors. This was the most races I have ever raced in a season and next year will be an even longer season for me.” He continued, “I appreciate all the hard work by Eric [Peronnard, Bercy Supercross representative] and Paul [Lindsey, Genoa Supercross representative], and appreciate their understanding and support.”

Genoa Supercross will take place November 13, 2010 in Genoa, Italy, and Supercross of Bercy will take place November 19-21, in Paris, France.

After a phenomenal season in which he was crowned Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Lites Champion, and Motocross of Nations Team Champion, Canard’s jump to the big bikes is a much-anticipated one. Canard starts the 2011 Supercross season on January 8th at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California.
