Buttrick Injured at ISDE

US Junior Trophy Team member Cory Buttrick is out of action in this year’s ISDE in Mexico after suffering injuries in a crash on Day One. Buttrick, who just re-signed with KTM for 2011, went down while attempting to pass a rider and hit a stump due to heavy dust. According to a family member, Buttrick helped hand out water to teammates at Tuesday’s checks but may return home as soon as Wednesday to see his doctor. “His shoulder, abdomen, neck, both his wrists have gouges on them and his hip possibly might be dislocated. He about broke both wrists on his bark busters. It was just so dusty and he couldn’t see and just hit a stump, pinned… but no docs down there say anything is or isn’t broken…,” added the family member.
