Some of the pieces are starting to fit together as far as silly season is concerned and a major part of the puzzle was put in place today when Rockstar Makita Suzuki hired Brett Metcalfe for the 2011 season.Metcalfe, who finished second in the final outdoor motocross series standings while riding for GEICO Powersports Honda, was inked in to ride the upcoming AMA Supercross Championships, however, Suzuki made no mention of Metcalfe’s plans for the outdoor series.Metcalfe joins newly crowned Supercross and Motocross champ Ryan Dungey at Rockstar Makita Suzuki, along with new Team Manager Mike Webb and Team Advisor Ricky Carmichael.

“I’m really excited to be joining the team,” said Metcalfe. “There’s no doubt that the RM-Z450 is a race-winning machine and I can’t wait to start testing. I think that the Rockstar Makita Suzuki team will be a good place for me to really focus on putting together a solid 2011. I’m looking forward to working with Mike, Ricky and Ryan and I’m ready to start racing.”According to Suzuki, the team will soon start testing in preparation for the start of the AMA Supercross series in January.
