As riders gear up for this weekend’s Motocross of Nations at Thunder Valley Raceway in Lakewood, Colorado, a few of the top personalities attended a media gathering on Thursday evening, talking to press and mingling with fans at the famous Grissly Rose bar in Denver.Team USA’s Andrew Short joined Marvin Musquin of France, Germany’s Max Nagl, Ben Townley of New Zealand, Jonathan Barragan of Spain and Italy’s Tony Cairoli in challenging Widow Maker, the bar’s mechanical bull (Cairolli can be seen above “getting off”). Joining the international field was Denver Broncos offensive lineman Lonie Paxton, a big motocross fan, who came out show his support and cheer on the riders as they tackled the metallic menace.Qualifying action kicks off Saturday at 2:30 M.T. with the MX1 heat, followed by the MX2 and Open heats, as 30 teams vie to take home this year’s Chamberlain Cup trophy. For those unable to attend the event, it can be seen live on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. E.T. at www.redbull.tv.
