For the 2011 event, a handful of our lucky Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion racers have been invited to join Australia’s greatest classic motorsport festival at Phillip Island in March.

The Victorian Historic Racing Register which runs the event asked our racers to bring their Porsche 935s to Phillip Island Classic.

In addition, our racers are invited to travel to Albert Park in Melbourne the following weekend for the F1 race as their guests. The cars will be on display and they will do a parade lap at the F1 Australian Grand Prix!

The Monterey Off Road Cycling Association will be hosting a Halloween-inspired Twilight Cycling ride at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca on Wednesday, October 20 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

The cost is $10 per rider and all riders must have a helmet. The Twilight Rides are informal and the 2.238-mile track will be open to all levels of cyclists, including treats and prizes for costumed riders. There will be a road race at 6:00 p.m. with prizes for the fastest mid-race sprinters and the overall winner. For the casual rider there will be a kids race, costume bike parade, a slow race (How slow can a rider go without putting their foot down) and BBQ potluck dinner with free hotdogs.
