Monster Energy Kawasaki will look to Destry Abbott to replace injured Ricky Dietrich for the third round of the AMA EnduroCross series at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Ind. Dietrich suffered a broken toe while practicing earlier this month and has not fully recovered from the injury.
Abbott will return to the rigorous EnduroCross series after finishing ninth at the opening round in Las Vegas. His never quit attitude is a perfect fit for EnduroCross style racing.
“Destry has always given us 100 percent when racing EnduroCross and that is what it takes to make the main event,” said Jason Smigel, off-road team manager. “This sport is so unpredictable, but Destry will make the extra effort every time.”
Abbott will join teammate Justin Soule for the inaugural EnduroCross race in Indianapolis that will take place on Friday at the Pepsi Coliseum. Dietrich is expected to make his return at the ninth round of the WORCS series at Glen Helen Raceway next month.
