Yamaha Set For MotoGP Activities

The following is from Yamaha Motor Corporation… Yamaha Motor Corporation U.S. is pleased to announce our schedule of just some of the customer focused activities for the July 23-25 Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. Celebrating six years as a marketing partner, Yamaha is proud to have been instrumental in facilitating the return of the U.S Grand Prix to this historic facility in 2005 following a 14 year absence.Leading off the festivities is the crowd favorite Boz Bros Custom Bike Show. Presented by 2 Wheel Tuner Magazine and Yamaha, the show will include Pro built bikes by many of the country’s premier Sport Bike builders as well as the top 100 winners of the 2010 Yamaha Virtual SuperSport Bike Show contest. A show within the show, the Yamaha Virtual SuperSport Bike Show is a unique part of the Boz Bros show that lets customers get to choose the final winners at the race. To see these very cool bikes and cast a vote for your favorite entry, please visit the Boz Bros/2 Wheel Tuner Bike Show display in the Yamaha Marketplace.A popular event since its debut in 2006, Yamaha’s Learn To Ride program allows children under the age of 12 to try our TT-R 50E and TT-R 110E in a controlled environment complete with instruction and supervision. Whether a first time rider or seasoned racer, riders of all abilities are encouraged to experience the TT-Rs with class leading features such as electric start, automatic-clutch transmissions and YZ styling.”This is a great way to include all members of the family who are taking in the event,” said Yamaha Media Relations Manager Kevin Foley. “And we love seeing the smiles from everyone who participates!”The TT-R demos will take place Friday through Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm in the Yamaha Marketplace. All riders will receive a photo of their experience and full safety gear is provided.Yamaha’s partnership with the Silver Star Casting company will also be prominently featured at Laguna with the presence of Silver Star founder and CEO Luke Burrett and his wife Miss February 2003, Charis Burrett. Representing their innovative lifestyle clothing brand, Silver Star will have their trend setting apparel on display with the assistance of the Silver Star Starlets and a custom YZF R6 motorcycle designed by World Renowned tattoo Artist Franco Vescovi and built by Custom Builder Nick Anglada.Last but certainly not least is the opportunity for a photo aboard the #46 Valentino Rossi MotoGP Championship winning M1 or the #19 Ben Spies Championship winning R1. No need for a camera, our helpful staff will snap the photo and make available to you prior to leaving our area.All of our 2010 events will be located in the Yamaha Marketplace display area located in the central area between turns 5 and 6 at the raceway.
