Thirty-nine-year-old Paul Dobbs was killed today at the Isle of Man after crashing at the Ballagarey section of the track while competing in the four-lap Supersport 2 race.Dobbs, a New Zealander, finshed 22nd in a race on Monday. He started racing at the Isle of Man in 1999 with his best-ever result coming in 2000 when he was sixth in the 400cc lightweight TT.Dobbs is married with two children.”Paul was a really popular rider in the paddock and was a great competitor,” said Jim Parker, chairman of the Auto Cycle Union (ACU) on the TT’s website. “He was a very talented rider who made many friends in the racing community. He will be solely missed.”
