Graves/Yamaha Teams Excel at Miller

The following is from Graves Motorsports…Graves Motorsports supported teams had a successful weekend of racing during the WERA Endurance races held at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah – May 22nd-23rd.Team Zyvax riders Chris Clark and Ben Bostrom joined by guest rider Eric Bostrom road their Graves Motorsports prepped, Dunlop shod Team Zyvax Yamaha R1 finishing with an impressive 175 laps. The Team Zyvax Yamaha R1 mounted riders set a Miller/WERA Endurance track record of 152.7 (set during Ben Bostrom’s second race stint).Special guest rider former World and AMA Superbike Champion Scott Russell along with Team Zyvax riders Dane Westby and Clinton Seller rode their Team Zyvax/Graves Motorsports supported Yamaha R6 to a 2nd place overall finish with 170 laps. The Zyvax R6 team, on US made DOT spec Dunlop tires, completed the race ahead of all 1000cc liter bikes except their Zyvax R1 teammates and won the Middleweight Superbike class.Also racing in the WERA Miller endurance round was another Graves Motorsports supported Yamaha R6 ridden by Benny Solis Jr., Zach Herrin (younger brother of Josh Herrin) and Payton Sassaman. These three Graves Motorsports supported youngsters completed 163 laps for a 6th place overall finish.Team owner JB Layman was ecstatic with rider and crew performance.  About the endurance race Layman stated, “Our Yamaha R6 riders Dane and Clinton continuously improved their lap times throughout the day.  On the last stint, Dane broke our best time on lap 161 of 170 laps.  This demonstrates the superiority of the Graves Motorsports prepped motorcycles, holding sustainable performance to the end of six hours.  Guest riders Scott Russell and Eric Bostrom got up to speed very quickly, and were instrumental in the success of the race.
