Pala Raceway in Southern California will be the site of the season finale, September 11, of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, the series promoters, MX Sports, announced today.Pala Raceway is located near Murrieta and Temecula, California, and will take the place of Glen Helen Raceway Park as Southern California’s host of a National Motocross round.”We are extremely excited to welcome Pala Raceway to the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule,” said MX Sports vice president Davey Coombs. “Ryan Ouellette, in conjunction with The Pala Band of Mission Indians, has built an incredible venue for motocross competition. They have placed a strong emphasis on making their track a truly world-class facility, and thus we felt it was the ideal location to host the 2010 season finale.”Since opening its gates to the motocross community, Pala has quickly become one of the most popular sites for all riders, including the same pro competitors who will hit the track in just four months. Recently, it was selected as the site of the new DC Shoes Motocross Training Facility.”We are very proud to have been selected to host a round of this prestigious series,” said Ryan Ouellette of Pala. “We fully expect to pull out all the stops on this event and have already assembled a strong team to help us build out the facility, including former racer Ryan Hughes, who has a tremendous amount of global racing experience. It is our goal to turn this event into a rich Southern California motocross tradition for years to come.”For more information on the event, visit www.allisports.com.
