Fifteen-time AMA Superbike race winner Eric Bostrom will return to the AMA Pro American Superbike Championship on a Attack Performance Suzuki GSX-R1000 beginning with the Laguna Seca round of the series, July 23-25, according to the team.Attack is teaming up with Cycle World magazine, Yoshimura Racing and American Suzuki on the project and Bostrom is slated to run a limited schedule. In addition to the Laguna round, he is also expected to contest the Virginia International Raceway round in August and the Barber Motorsports Park round in September.”I can’t tell you how excited I am to be involved with this project,” the 33-year-old Bostrom said in a team release. “It’s a fantastic opportunity all the way around. I am thrilled to be getting back on the racetrack, as well as reconnecting with the fans and racing culture. Most importantly, the end result will make a contribution for a great cause-the Joseph C. Parkhurst Education Fund to benefit the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation’s scholarship program for brain tumor survivors.”The project was originally slated to feature Cameron Beaubier, but the AMA wouldn’t grant the former Red Bull Rookies Cup rider a license because of his lack of “big bike” experience.
