FONTANA, CA, MAR. 27 – With winds reaching speeds of 40 mph in the Inland Empire, on-track action is at a standstill today at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The Daytona SportBike class went out for qualifying at 9 a.m. but completed only a few laps before a red flag was thrown. No word yet on when action will get started again.Graves Motorsports Tommy Aquino said the winds are such that you’re leaned over just trying to go straight. The biggest problem at this point, however, is the fact that track workers can’t keep the air fence secured.According to track personnel, a high-wind advisory in in effect until 5 p.m.
