The following is from Erion Racing…For the 2010 AMA Pro Road Racing season, Erion Racing will be supporting 17-year-old Tyler Odom in the Daytona SportBike class during select events, beginning with the second race of the season at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA. Odom will compete aboard Erion Racing-prepped Honda CBR600RR racing machines.Riding an Erion CBR600RR in 2009, Odom confirmed his status as one of the top up-and-coming young road racers in the United States by carving through the pack and staging a dramatic come-from-behind victory at Daytona in the SuperSport race. He also finished 19th overall in the Daytona 200 the same weekend. Odom ultimately finished fourth in the West Coast SuperSport series and he also raced the complete AMA Daytona SportBike Series, earning points and gaining valuable experience along the way.Born into a motorcycle-racing family, Tyler is a third-generation racer and follows in the racing footsteps of his grandfather, father and mother, as well as numerous uncles and other family relatives who have competed aboard two wheels.”After working with Tyler all last year, we are definitely looking forward to supporting him again in 2010,” said Kevin Erion. “Tyler comes from a family of racers, is remarkably talented, has gained a lot of racing experience for someone his age and has rapidly climbed a steep learning curve in the past year. He is ready to break through to the next level, and we are happy to be working with him again this year.”
