Dean Wilson Sits Out Dallas Supercross

Kit Palmer | March 20, 2010

Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki’s Dean Wilson will not be competing today at the fifth round of the Monster Energy/AMA Supercross Lites East Championship in Dallas, Texas. The Canadian was returning to the United States after last weekend’s Supercross round in Toronto but he, along with his parents, was denied entry into the U.S. and is still in Canada. Evidently, Wilson, who waited until he was 18, December 28, to sign his contract with Pro Circuit, was held up at the border due to a problem with his immigration paperwork, which apparently has yet been completely processed yet. He was hoping to have everything in order yesterday, Friday, March 19, but evidently it was not, so Wilson will have to watch today’s race from home in Canada.Wilson was third in the Lites East standings behind leader Christophe Pourcel and Austin Stroupe.Wilson is expected to have everything all worked out by next week, before the Jacksonville round of the series.
