Suzuki Won’t Homologate 2010 GSX-R1000

Suzuki will not be homologating the 2010 GSX-R1000 for the AMA American Superbike Championship, Yoshimura Suzuki team boss Don Sakakura confirmed today at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The decision was an easy one based on the simple fact that the 2010 model is unchanged from the 2009 model that Mat Mladin rode to the AMA Superbike crown last year.”And we didn’t have the ’09 model for the whole year,” Sakakura said on the second day of the two-day test at Auto Club Speedway. “We only started using it in May.”
