The following is from Kenda…

Officials at GEICO AMA EnduroCross Series, presented by E3 Spark Plugs, are pleased to announce a new multi-year presenting level sponsorship program with longtime powersports tire manufacturer, Ohio-based Kenda Tire for the upcoming 2010 competition season.

Kenda, now the official tire company for GEICO EnduroCross, has produced off-road and motocross tires since the sports’ halcyon days here in the United States. From the Millville, Washougal and Southwick II and Triple, Kenda covers the entire spectrum of dirt bike riders’ needs – from weekend warriors to competition racers.

“Speaking for everyone at Kenda Global, we’re pleased to be on board with EnduroCross and look forward to the Kenda brand making an immediate impact with the sport’s professional and amateur competitors, as well as the many off-road enthusiasts that follow the sport,” said Kenda’s Gus Niewenhous. “Kenda was built on its customer service, so we fully intend to take advantage of our new partnership with EnduroCross in reaching out and showing off the Kenda brands at every EnduroCross series event across the nation.”

Founded in 1962, Kenda has worked to develop and expand its product selections. In addition to its off-road and MX tires Kenda offers a full range of ATV and street bike tires, along an extensive line of off-road and street bicycle tires – many of which are used for competition motorcycle cross-training.

“Kenda’s a well-know, competitively priced off-road tire line that gets high marks from the guys who run them,” said Lance Bryson, Director of Sales & Marketing for GEICO EnduroCross. “GEICO EnduroCross is pleased to be associated with such a reputable tire company and we look forward to partnering on numerous promotions throughout the 2010 competition season with Kenda.”

One of the GEICO EnduroCross racers that runs Kenda tires is Jason Raines. And the six-time national hare scrambles champion feels strongly that Kenda will be a solid fit with GEICO EnduroCross. “Kenda’s a real aggressive company with an emphasis on off-road racing and they’ll be motivated to help make the EnduroCross series the best it can be,” said Raines. “I run Kendas and put them through unbelievably extreme conditions when I race, train and instruct. The engineering and design that goes into Kenda tires makes them one of the best brands on the market, something which I trust both my professional racing and off-road instructional careers with.”
