The following is from Miller Motorsports Park…Fans attending this weekend’s HANNspree Superbike World Championship Utah USA Round at Miller Motorsports Park will have a large variety of fun activities to enjoy in addition to watching some of the world’s best motorcycle racing.The weekend will kick off with the SBK Bike Bash on Thursday, May 28. At 4:45 pm, eight riders from the Superbike World Championship (Ben Spies, Noriyuki Haga, Max Biaggi, Yukio Kagayama, Carlos Checa, Jamie Hacking, Troy Corser and Jake Zemke) and their race bikes will appear at a press conference at the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City for an official welcome and remarks from Lt. Governor Gary Herbert, Larry H. Miller Group CEO Greg Miller and HANNspree Superbike World Championship General Manager Paolo Ciabatti. Following the press conference, the racers will mount their race bikes to lead a parade of motorcycles – in which the motorcycle-riding public is welcome to participate – from the State Capitol to EnergySolutions Arena, site of the Bike Bash.Starting at 6:00 pm, the Plaza area at EnergySolutions Arena will be transformed into a motorcycle festival with a variety of entertainment taking place, including an exhibition by many of the top freestyle motocross and BMX stars, many of whom participate in the AST Dew Tour and X-Games; a skateboarding demonstration; an exhibition by BMW stunt rider Chris Pfeiffer, a four-time World Champion; and an exhibition of trials riding by expert Geoff Aaron. Many of the top racers from the World Superbike and World Supersport championships will be on hand to participate in an autograph session for the fans. There will be motorcycle parking provided on the north side of the Plaza.

The feature attraction gets underway at 8:00 pm, when Hoobastank takes the stage inside EnergySolutions Arena. The members of the band are huge motorcycle racing fans, and actually contacted Miller Motorsports Park to inquire about getting involved with this year’s event.

Once the racing activities get underway at Miller Motorsports Park on Friday, May 29, fans will have numerous options to enhance their experience at the track. Throughout the weekend, a limited number of two-up rides on a Superbike driven by a professional racer will be available for $75; Jeep rides on Miller Motorsports Park’s new off-road course will be available for $10; parade laps on the track will be available for $15; the Miller Karting Complex will be open for fans to race concession karts, at $22.50 for 10 minutes; and free rides in the “Skid Car” from the Miller Performance Training Center will be available.

In addition, there will be stunt bike, freestyle motocross, BMX stunt and skateboard demonstrations, plus pit walks and autograph sessions, on both Saturday and Sunday. Also, all post-qualifying and post-race rider interview sessions will be open to the public at the Paddock Show stage in the paddock.

The HANNspree Superbike World Championship Utah USA Round gets underway Friday, May 29. Support series will include the Supersport World Championship and the Larry H. Miller Superbike Challenge. Friday will include practice sessions, with additional practice and qualifying on Saturday as well as a race for the Larry H. Miller Superbike Challenge GTU class. Races for the Superbike World Championship, Supersport World Championship and the Larry H. Miller Superbike Challenge GTO class are scheduled for Sunday.

Tickets for the World Superbike weekend are priced as follows: General Admission tickets are $27 Friday, $37 Saturday and $47 Sunday, or $77 for the weekend.
