A Special “On Any Sunday”

Paul Carruthers | March 18, 2009

The following is from Mojotown…

Meet Marin County’s own racing legend Mert Lawwill and enjoy a special screening of the classic Bruce Brown film On Any Sunday at the Lark Theater in Downtown Larkspur, CA, March 29th, 2009.

For over 20 years Mert has been developing and machining state-of-the art prosthetic hands that have changed the lives of people who literally and figuratively need a hand. With help from Michael Aron of the Mojotown Project, he is now establishing a nonprofit organization to grant hands (or offset the costs) to those who don’t have the means to purchase them. The Mojotown Project’s special screening of On Any Sunday will kick off the fundraising efforts for MertsHands.org.

Seats are Limited, get your ticket today at http://themojotownproject.org or call 415-404-MOJO (6656)

Mert’s Hands are not only beautiful works of art, but have been instrumental in getting soldiers back to work in the civilian world and keeping athletes in competition. He’s also helping kids thrive by giving them the opportunity to excel – in life as well as their beloved sports. For more information on the hands and the people they’ve helped, visit MertsHands.org, a newly launched website built by The Mojotown Project.

The Mojotown Project was started in 2004 by Michael Aron to aide non-profits with top quality marketing materials and websites at no cost to the qualified non-profit organizations.

Join us for a special evening with Mert and two of the amazing people who use the Mert Lawwill Hand: 2008 Para Olympian Greta Neimanas and 18 year old motocross rider Jake McCullough.
