The following is from Shift Racing…

Shift Racing and Josh Herrin will join forces in 2009 after agreeing to a multi-year deal that will see the Graves Motorsports Yamaha racer wear Shift’s Vertex leather suit and gloves in the AMA Daytona SportBike Championship.

In 2008, Josh rode to victory at Barber Motorsports Park and claimed 5 additional podium finishes on his way to a strong 5th place finish in the Supersport series. In 2009, Josh will have his eyes on the championship prize and Shift is looking forward to being an integral part of his program.

“Josh really impressed us with his hard charging style and determination. He represents the new guard in roadracing and we felt that he was the perfect fit to represent Shift’s youthful image and high-performance products,” said Shift Brand Manager, Brett Nicholas.

Josh Herrin says, “I am extremely excited to have signed with Shift Racing. I really like the vibe and style of the company and after wearing their new Vertex leather suit at the Daytona test, I knew I made the right decision. I’m looking forward to a strong season and am very happy and confident to have Shift in my corner.”

Josh begins his 2009 campaign at Daytona International Speedway on March 6th for the prestigious Daytona 200, which will be run at night under the lights for the very first time.
