Sean Hamblin has announced a charity ride and motocross school to benefit Canadian SnoCross and Supercross racer Blair Morgan who was severely injured at the recent Montréal Supercross. According to Hamblin, the event will take place on October 18th at Moto Park in Ontario, Canada. “We will have a number of instructors, including myself, Chris Pomeroy, and Colton Facciotti, and some others that we are still working on,” said Hamblin. “Basically, what we are going to do with the school is branch out into groups and we will have a couple instructors per group and go from 9:00 am to noon and then we will supply them with a nice lunch and then from about 1:30 on we will have an open ride. And anyone can come out and ride in the open ride. Then at the end of the day we will have a raffle, and all proceeds from the school and open ride and raffle will go to Blair and his family.” Price for the School will be $125, including lunch for the riders. It will be $25 for the open ride, which will go from approximately 1:30 pm to possibly 5:00 pm or so. “Blair was one of the first guys I met when I moved to Canada in 2000, the year I won my 125 title in Canada,” said Hamblin. “He was one of the guys who has been there from the beginning and he is a real good friend and someone that not only I have looked up to, but many people, in motocross and snowmobiling, as well. He is an icon in both sports. So it is kind of last minute but I called Chris Pomeroy to see if this was something we could put together.” Hamblin has more information posted on MX Forum or you can e-mail him directly at shracing105@yahoo.com.
