Nothing Final About Supersport

Paul Carruthers | August 3, 2008

The following is a release from the AMA… Due to a technical protest, today’s AMA Pro Honda Oils Supersport Championship presented by Shoei results will remain provisional until the matter is resolved. The protest was submitted to AMA Pro Racing by Jake Zemke’s Erion Racing Honda team. It questions the legality of the frame on today’s Supersport-race-winning bike, the number 155 Yamaha ridden by Graves Motorsports Yamaha’s Ben Bostrom. The frame and triple clamp assembly in question will be compared to other production frames and triple clamp assemblies from the same model at AMA headquarters in Pickerington, Ohio. The results of this inspection will be made available as soon as it is complete.
