Red Bull Last Man Standing on TV Sunday

| January 24, 2008

From a press release…

Tune in to the NBC’s Jeep World of Adventure Sports this Sunday, January 27 at 5:00 p.m. ET (2:00 p.m. PT) for coverage of the 2007 Red Bull Last Man Standing from Bulcher, Texas. See if two-time Last Man Standing champion David Knight will three-peat, or if a young upstart will pull off an upset in near-freezing conditions at one of the world’s toughest off-road races. The 35-mile daytime lap is followed by another 35-mile lap at night, with the course reversed, and only the daytime riders who finish within an hour of the first finisher advance to the night lap.

“You’ve got to look after your bike, and you need commitment to get to the finish,” said Knight prior to the race. “You get to a point where you ask, ‘What the heck am I doing here?’ But there’s no feeling like when you get to the end of the race. You can’t think about the competition, just getting to the end. You need a bit of good luck also.”

One hundred riders will start, but there will be only one Last Man Standing!
