Hughes Earns Third WORCS Win

Team Suzuki Off-Road’s Ryan Hughes returned to his winning ways at the fifth round of the Rocky Mountain World Off-Road Championship Series in Adelanto, California, April 16.

After winning the first two rounds, then finishing third and second at the next two, respectively, Hughes found his way back to the top step of the podium with a win at RaceTownn 395. Riding an RM-Z450, Hughes took the checkered flag ahead of Montclair Yamaha/Zip-Ty Racing’s Bobby Garrison and Kawasaki Team Green’s Ricky Dietrich who joined Hughes on the podium.

Defending WORCS Champion Nathan Woods finished fourth on his Team Green Kawasaki KX450F, while Montclair Yamaha/Zip-Ty Racing’s Ty Davis rounded out the top five.

Finishing sixth was previous-round winner Mike Kiedrowski, Hughes’ teammate, and seventh place went to Kawasaki’s Lance Smail. Mike Corder (KTM), Matt Karlsen (Kaw) and Russ Pearson (Yam) filled out the top 10 overall.
