Geoff Aaron and Bruce LeRiche traded wins at rounds three and four of the AMA/NATC National Trials Series held in the Arbuckle Mountains near Tishomingo, Oklahoma, April 8-9.

On Saturday, Aaron put his Extreme Riding Entertainment-sponsored 280 Gas Gas on top of the box after dominating all three laps of the event which was held on the large granite rocks found in the area. Aaron posted a total score of four points for the win, while Montesa-mounted Brent LeRiche of South Africa rode a steady pace to finish second with a total of eight points. Brent’s brother Bruce, riding for Sherco USA, finished third with 16 points.

On Sunday, Aaron recovered from a disastrous first lap, one that saw him sitting in sixth position after the first 12 sections, to salvage a second overall finish. In the meantime, Bruce LeRiche logged impressive rides on the steep, but grippy climbs to take his first win of the year. Gas Gas USA’s Chris Florin finished third overall after losing out in a tie-breaker with Aaron for the runner up position.

After four rounds, Aaron leads the series standings with 115, en route to a possible 10th National title, followed by Bruce LeRiche is second with 94 and Florin in third with 79.
