Lafferty Bags Alligator Enduro

National Enduro Champion Mike Lafferty won the 56th running of Florida Trail Riders’ Alligator Enduro, held near Daytona International Speedway yesterday. The factory KTM pilot had little troubles in the dry Florida sand, dropping a total six points, which gave him a three-point cushion over runner-up Stephen Edmondson, also KTM-mounted. Finishing third was Brooks Hamilton, who edged out Mike Grizzle on the tie-breakers.

Rounding out the top five was Rich Lafferty.

Am-Pro Yamaha’s Randy Hawkins was forced to sit out this year’s Alligator because of a broken arm that he suffered a little over a week ago while testing. The entire team instead, skipped the enduro and headed straight for Georgia for this weekend’s second round of the GNCC series.
