The Team Motorcyclist’s Post AMA Flat Track Championship racing team has announced that long-time former AMA road racing team sponsor Bruce Transportation Group has agreed to back the team, which fields equipment for Michigan rider Logan Myers, for the 2006 sesason.

“We’re extremely happy to announce that Bruce Transportation Group will be a major co-sponsor for our singles program,” Team Motorcyclist’s Post manager Leo Castell stated in a press release. “I’d like to publicly thank Bruce Lyskawa for his generous pledge of support.”

As part of the deal, Bruce Transportation Group will be providing Honda CRF450 machinery for the team. The crew and rider will be adorned in Bruce Transportation Group leathers and uniforms at all AMA Singles race. Bruce Transportation Group president Bruce Lyskawa said that he has been watching Myers since the promising young Michigan rider competed at the amateur level.

“I’ve met and talked to Logan Myers over the last couple of years as I’ve seen him out at the amateur nationals,” Lysakawa said. “As a racer, team owner and parent, I know how great the sport can be towards development of these young people if given the right situation. I’m very impressed by this young man and what Leo and his guys are trying to do for Logan as well as the sport of dirt track in general. And I really look forward to seeing the Bruce Transportation logo out there again.”

Myers said that the news is “like an early Christmas present for sure.”

“I can’t thank Mr. Lyskawa enough for this pledge of support,” Myers added. “As a team, we have a lot of respect for what Bruce Lyskawa brings to the table both in terms of being a racer himself and a former national level race team owner. We’re going to do our very best to get the Bruce Transportation Group/Team Motorcyclist’s Post bikes out front.”
