Hughes, Dubach Star At Glen Helen

Suzuki’s Ryan Hughes and Yamaha’s Doug Dubach were the big winners at the 21st annual World Vet MX Championships at Glen Helen Raceway, November 4-5.
In Saturday’s 40-Plus Pro class, Dubach and Honda-mounted Jeff Ward battled to the wire with Ward taking the win and Dubach finishing second. In the second moto, Dubach rode off to victory and the overall win with Ward finishing second. Honda rider Terry Fowler took third overall with a pair of third-place finishes.
In Sunday’s 30-Plus Pro class, Hughes pretty much dominated, winning both motos for the overall victory. Dubach went 2-2 for second overall, while Kawasaki rider Austin Squires got on the podium in third with 6-4 moto finishes.
Over the weekend, race promoter Stu Peters was inducted into the Glen Helen Walk of Fame.
