Caselli Outlasts Them In Goldendale WORCS

Perfect conditions at the Eddieville Motorsports Park led to excellent racing at round 10 of the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC World Off-Road Championship Series, presented by Pro Circuit. Three riders waged a race-long battle for supremacy, and when the two-hour race drew to a close, KTM’s Kurt Caselli found himself the victor over Suzuki’s Mike Kiedrowski and Montclair Yamaha’s Nathan Woods.

“There were a lot of good corners with ruts in them, and I’ve been practicing with [motocrosser] Darrell Eklund on them at home,” Caselli said. “We just do ruts. We ride rut tracks all day and do drills. He’s helping me so much with the motocross part of it.”

With two laps to go, Kiedrowski held the lead on his FMF/Dunlop/O’Neal-backed RM-Z450, but he couldn’t hold off Caselli’s late-race charge on his Motorex/Michelin/Moose 450 MXC. “It was a good race for the spectators,” Kiedrowski said.

Woods had his shot at the lead a couple times, but he made a few mistakes that put him on the ground. The second time, he stalled his Zip-Ty Racing/Race Tech/Moose YZ450F and that left him solidly in third.

Ricky Dietrich took fourth overall on his Pro Circuit/Maxxis/ARC KX250 with Russell Pearson rounding out the top five on his Montclair Yamaha/Zip-Ty Racing/Moose YZ450F.
