Raines Injured Again

| August 15, 2005

Just when it looked as though Jason Raines was fully healed and finally getting back up to speed from his previous shoulder injury, the Am-Pro Yamaha team rider suffered yet another major setback when he broke his leg while practicing during the week.

Raines reportedly broke both the tibia and fibula bones in his left leg when he caught his foot in a rut while practicing at Randy Hawkins’ farm in South Carolina. It appears that Raines will be laid up for the rest of the year.

Raines is leading the AMA National Hare Scrambles Series but will miss the remaining three rounds, which includes yesterday’s National in Pennsylvania. With Raines’ departure, Woodford is now sitting in a good position to win the ’05 National Hare Scrambles Championship
